CATCH Dubai
A restaurant that prides itself on its New York roots, CATCH Dubai is definitely somewhere for the foodies out there to check out as from the 3rd to the 5th of July guests can expect to take their taste buds on a stateside tour.
Adding two brand new American-inspired dishes to their menu this Independence Day, you can expect a lot more sophistication than your typical BYOB BBQ.
The first of the specials on offer is a 48-hour braised BBQ U.S. Prime Short Rib accompanied by Roasted Whole Corn and CATCH Dubai’s own signature Spicy Coleslaw.
What follows that for dessert is a reinvention of the iconic American staple of the Pop Tart. Yes, a Pop Tart. But about 100 times classier. This blueberry filled tart is made from lemon sucree, served with a yogurt sorbet, and even requires the table side presence of the attentive CATCH staff present to spoon some warm blueberry compote on top. This ain’t your mama’s Pop Tart.

If you fancy yourself a bit of an expert on Americana this is probably the venue for you as the ever-lively McGettigans are hosting a USA-themed 4th of July special edition of their quiz night. With a variety of aptly American themed drink promotions at hand, they’re even offering free shots for anyone dressed in the traditional red, white and blue.
Remember when we talked about celebrating so hard that you forget who the President is? This is probably the sort of place for that. Entry is free so it’s also best to arrive early in order to avoid missing out on your typical McGettigans shenanigans.

Celebrating 4th of July this weekend on the 7th & 8th July instead, P&B’s festivities kick off from 12pm on both days with live music and a replica Lady Liberty aiding you in carrying on the party on throughout the day.

There’s not many better ways could you spend the 4th of July than by shaking what your mama gave you at an Independence Day Fiesta. Which is why ZOCO has transformed its restaurant for one night only into an American paradise. Think of what a restaurant would look like if it had its interior designed by Uncle Sam himself. That’s the sort of vibe that ZOCO is going for.
Dance fuel is readily available as you can dine on a wide range of unlimited signature soft-shell tacos for Dhs 125 from 6pm – 11:30pm. Yes, you read that right. Unlimited. Tacos. The dress code if Red, white, and blue and the DJ on the decks will be spinning top Country and Old School anthems to get you into the American spirit. That’s if you can possibly move after chowing down on you 34th taco of the night.

Your enjoyment of CLAW BBQ’s 4th of July All Day Picnic Brunch will very much depend on two things: 1) Do you like picnics? and 2) Do you like brunch? In order to “shake” things up a bit this Fourth of July, Black Tap, Dubai’s most Instagram friendly burger and milkshake joint, thought it was only right to commemorate the occasion with a patriotic milkshake that would put even Betsy Ross to shame.
The Stars and Stripes themed shake is a combination of strawberry ice-cream, a vanilla frosting, sprinkles, and a firecracker popsicle, all topped off in true American fashion with whipped cream and a cherry. This shake will only be available on July 4th with a limited number available so we’d recommend you head down sharpish if you really do fancy developing diabetes.

If you’re up for more of a budget constrained commemoration of the good ol’ US of A, head on down to Bazxar this 4th July to celebrate American independence in true 1776 fashion. Indulge in house beverages at the ludicrously cheap price of Dhs 17 and build your own food combo of 3 dishes for only Dhs 76. Get it? Y’know, like 1776: the year America declared their independence. Clever, huh?

Baked goods are good. The clue is in the name. Making baked goods ‘not-good’ is actually pretty difficult. Fortunately for us the Clinton Street Baking Company have become very good and not making baked goods ‘not-good’. So what we’re saying is that they are excellent at making baked goods very good. Which means the fact that they’re celebrating the 4th by offering a complimentary slice of all American pie with every meal is very, very, very good news.
