Dubai-based OSN launches dedicated ICC world cup season pass for AED199

  • Dubai-based OSN has launched a separate package for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup
  • It will broadcast the matches exclusively live on two new channels – OSN Cric Xtra 1 and OSN Cric Xtra 2
  • Cricket fans who sign up for season pass will have access to live coverage of the 10 warm-up games and the 48 live games of the main tournament
  • The Cricket World Cup will be held  in the United Kingdom from 30 May to 14 July

It’s finally time for the biggest sporting championship the world has seen. Cricket is arguably one of the most popular sports in the world behind foorball and given that the next world cup is just around the corner all eyes are definitely going to be on the hosts England and some of the world’s most popular teams like India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand and Pakistan to name a few. 

For UAE residents that mostly comprise of expats from the biggest cricket loving countries the biggest question on everyone’s mind is how they can tune in to watch their sporting heros compete. So, Dubai-based OSN has launched a separate package for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup.

How to watch?

The satellite broadcaster, which dropped all sports channels except for cricket earlier this year, will broadcast the matches exclusively live on two new channels – OSN Cric Xtra 1 and OSN Cric Xtra 2, available to subscribers to the highest all-inclusive OSN Platinum pack.

The package can also be added to all other packs for AED199, including those who subscribe to OSN’s online and mobile app entertainment platform WAVO, who can subscribe through their account. OSN confirmed that the cricket pass can be purchased as a standalone through WAVO.

Cricket fans who sign up for season pass will have access to live coverage of the 10 warm-up games and the 48 live games of the main tournament, as well as exclusive ICC shows building up to the event, and post-game highlights. Fans can also live stream the channels anywhere and on any devices on OSN Play.

How long is the World cup on for?

The Cricket World Cup will be held  in the United Kingdom from 30 May to 14 July, 2019. The teams will play in Engaldn in the host cities of London, Bristol, Taunton, Manchester, Leeds and more. There will be 48 matches in total.
